About the shop:
Ed McCoppin Violins is a full service violin shop, which includes cello and bass work, is located in southeast Michigan, just north of Toledo, Ohio and south of Detroit.
Premium Set-Ups include good quality materials and strings complete with precise adjustments.
About Ed McCoppin:
Ed McCoppin is an Expert Luthier excelling in all aspects of string instrument making, repair and restoration.
He has trained at the University of New Hampshire, has taken summer workshops for eight years in advanced string instrument restoration.
He is now continuing his training, taking summer workshop classes with Hans Jurgen Nebel.
Violin making was studied under Vito Cheverini, Keith and Raymond Doerr, and Brian Bishop.
He is contracted by several shops across Michigan.
He was President of the Michigan Violinmakers Association from 2006-2016.
He is a member in good standing with the Violin Society of America.
